Cam McLean had the pole for the start of thirty laps of racing in the Richlock Rentals Non Wing Sprint Car Feature and seventeen cars in the field. He got away for the early lead with lots of juggling for position behind him until Chris Root charged to the lead on lap six with Deter Lajeune taking the third position one lap earlier. On lap ten, Lajeune moved into the second spot dropping McLean back to third. Over the next several laps, Root and Lajeune diced back and forth running side by side and bumper to bumper. On lap seventeen the yellow came out for a spinning car. On the restart, Root jumped back to the lead with Lajeune still all over him. On lap twenty-three the yellow cam out again as Paul Verhagen came to a stop with a mechanical problem. On this restart, Root got away again with Lajeune but before they could complete the lap, they touched tires, spinning Root around and another yellow on the track. Both cars were sent to the back for the restart and Cam Mclean with the lead as the field returned to green flag racing. McLean hung on for his first ever Feature event win at Western Speedway followed by Lance Wade, Brian Bickford, Mark Stuart, and Matt Verhagen rounding out the top five positions. McLean was ecstatic as he was interviewed and received his Trophy from Lori and Winter at Victory Square.
Mark Gall and Jim Giles led nineteen cars to the green flag for thirty laps of racing in the Richlock Rentals Non Wing Sprint Car Feature event. Gall got the early lead as Deter Lajeune and Mark Stuart moved up to run second and third on the second lap and then the field was slowed by the yellow flag for a light rain. The cars stayed on the track in order to keep it dry and hopefully return to green flag racing. After a short delay, the field was given the signal that the race would continue. Gall got away again with the drop of the green flag and on lap eight Lajeune passed for the lead as Stuart followed him through to take over the second position. Jeff Bird moved up to run in third on lap nine dropping Gall back to fourth. Lajeune, Stuart, and Bird began a cat and mouse game all trying for the lead often running side by side and bumper to bumper over the next several laps. On lap twenty-seven the yellow flag came out as Randy Vincent spun around on turn four and right after they dropped the green flag several cars spun around bringing out another yellow. Lejeune got away again on the green flag and went on to the win for the Kershaw Trophy followed by Stuart, Chris Root, Bird, and Gall rounding out the top five positions
